Claire Trott MA, BA Hons, PGCE, Dip Ed, PG Cert SLD (Distinction)
Claire was a Deputy Head and taught for 12 years. She has worked in primary and secondary schools as an advisory teacher/consultant for Local Authorities and for a National Charity. She has worked in teacher training both in the UK and abroad. In July 2013 she completed an additional learning and teaching qualification in Specific Learning Difficulties (Dyslexia) at Leicester University and since then has worked as an Associate for The Dyslexia Association alongside her role as a consultant for the PSHE Advisory Service in Nottingham City.
Claire is committed to developing ‘Learning with a Difference’ into a local organisation to support families, schools, tutors and private teachers.
Phil Kirkland BA Hons, PGCE
Phil taught English and Performing Arts for 20 years in Secondary Schools in both the UK and abroad. In 1995 he joined Nottinghamshire Local Authority as Consultant for the Personal Development of Learners. He worked throughout the county in both primary and secondary schools.
He now divides his time between helping to develop ‘Learning with a Difference’, teaching challenged and challenging children for a local education provider and serving as a trustee for an overseas teacher training NGO.
Claire and Phil have personal family experience of dyslexia and dyspraxia/DCD.
